I'm Daniel Guimarães, a motion designer and art director from Brazil, working with studios around the world.
My work leans heavily on design: clean type, considered color, interfaces that feel alive. Lately I've been deep into the glassy, translucent direction Apple's been pushing - depth, reflection, light behaving like it does in the real world - and building my own techniques in After Effects to bring that into motion.
Some of the work I've been part of: GitHub (Octoverse 2025, Copilot), Riot Games (CBLOL 2026 outro), and Unilever (OMO), plus projects across tech, gaming, and brand.

I'm a bit obsessive about how things work. I need to understand the mechanics of something before I can move it, and I notice the small details most people scroll right past. My background runs across design, UI, sound, and code, so I tend to see the whole project instead of just my piece of it. In practice, that makes me an easy person to have on a team.
In late 2025 I spent three months in London, sharpening my English and getting to know studios and artists I'd admired for years, so that stepping into international teams would feel natural rather than a leap.
Tools I live in: After Effects, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, Audition, Figma, Blender, Cinema 4D, Redshift, plus AI tools (Midjourney, Magnific, Claude) when they actually earn their place.
Right now I'm open for freelance, remote collaborations, and longer runs with studios. If you've got something that needs to move, let's talk.
